For the past 25 of his 35+ years’ career Booway has worked as a CEO, Managing Director, Board Chair, founder, consultant, and held other management executive positions at a variety of businesses (ranging from startups to multi-division conglomerates to NGOs), both in the U.S. and internationally. He brings a verifiable track record of effective problem solving, project management, leadership, and the resulting impressive growth and profitability for his employers and clients.
During those years, he’s led teams of 5 to 900 managers and staff on dozens of short- and long-term projects in all kinds of functional units (e.g. strategy, operations management, sales, marketing, HR, finance and accounting, etc.) in a wide variety of industries. His primary industry expertise includes financial services, global mining explorations, international trading (export/ import), consumer goods, retail sales and wholesale distribution. Furthermore, he has accumulated vast experience in working on a number of SME projects, including egg farms, rural small business development, small farming and agriculture, green energy, nature and wildlife preservation, and others projects.
Aside from his professional duties, he’s passionate about new product development, crafting and prototype design, entrepreneurial mentorship, and startup training and coaching. He was a judge and a panelist at dozens of startup pitch competitions in Asia.
Booway sits on the Board of several international businesses, as well as non-profit organizations. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and MA (Linguistics) from the Moscow Linguistics University. He is an avid fly-fisherman.
