How to Find Email Headers

Microsoft Outlook

  1. Double-click the message to open it in a separate window.
  2. Click on the Files menu, and then Properties. The message Properties dialog box is displayed.
  3. Copy the contents of the Internet headers field at the bottom and email it to us at [email protected]

Gmail

  1. Open the message in your Gmail inbox.
  2. Click the More icon in the top-right corner of the message (three dots in a vertical column).
  3. Click the Show original link toward the bottom of the More menu. The message will open in a separate window with the full message headers at the top.
  4. Click on the Copy to clipboard button.
  5. Email the results to [email protected]

Yahoo

  1. Click on the More link at the bottom of the message.
  2. Select View Full Header from the menu that appears.
  3. The full headers, plus the text of the message, will appear in a new browser window (or tab, depending on your browser’s settings.
  4. Select and copy the entire contents of this window.
  5. Email the results to [email protected]
